Choux pastry letter dinner

Choux pastry is my big love – so when daughter suggested we bake today, I was very happy when her attention shifted from making a Barbie cake (aaargh) to making choux pastry.
We quickly veered away from more traditional puffs to freeform letters.
So tonight, the kids started with choux letters with a cheese and ham bechamel sauce (think deconstructed alphabetical gougères) – notice photo complete with express bite (I couldn’t get a photo fast enough before Rudy got to them!).

Then dessert of choux worms, hearts, sun and clouds dipped in chocolate icing and sprinkles…
